NATIONAL STOCK EXCHANGE OF INDIA LIMITED
CAPITAL MARKET OPERATIONS
CIRCULAR
Date:
Dear Members,
Sub: Mock trading session on
The
Exchange will be conducting a mock trading session in the capital market
segment on
Following existing functionalities have been modified in
the new version:
1. Change in quantity and value limit norms
Currently,
any order entered by a member comes as quantity freeze when the order quantity
is 1% of the issue size of the security or value of the order is around Rs. 5
crores whichever is less as per circular dated
Based
on the representation received from the members, it has been decided to modify
the existing mechanism relating to alert/freeze by building necessary alerts
through the system rather than manual intervention. Keeping in view the above,
it has been decided that the aforesaid existing volume freeze quantity
applicable for each security be modified by providing automatic alerts and also
with stricter lower limits as under:
whichever is less.
Consequently,
any order entered by a member exceeding the lowest of the aforesaid three
values shall result in an alert which will read as “Order entered exceeds alert quantity limit. Confirm
availability of adequate capital to proceed” and only after the
member clicks the button ‘Yes’ the order will be further processed for
execution.
Important
Point
1) Members may please note that after pressing the ‘Yes’
button, there will not be any check at the Exchange but such order will
directly go to the order book for execution. Hence, members are advised to take
note of this change and also take utmost care before clicking the ‘Yes’ button.
2) In view of the aforesaid
modification, everyday members will be required to invariably load the
security.txt and nnf_security.dat file (downloaded everyday through Extranet) into
the NEAT/NEATPlus software.
2. Branch order value limit (BOVL)/User order value limit
(UOVL) – Buy and sell split
Presently,
the user is allowed to set overall limit for User Order Value Limit and Branch
Order Value Limit. The same has been modified facilitating the user to set buy
limit and sell limit separately for User Order Value Limit and Branch Order
Value Limit.
Important
Point
Limits currently set up would be
distributed equally between buy side and sell side.
